Weekend report · Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026 · Facebook traffic

SodaTide & SodaSlim Weekend Funnel

Every step from the Facebook ad to the BuyGoods order, with the count, the conversion rate to the next step and the cost per step. Four of our own VSL pages ran: two for SodaTide and two for SodaSlim. Ad data is from Meta, page and video data from our vturb players, checkout and orders from BuyGoods. Every buyer was traced back through every step, so the numbers below are the same people at each level.

Step by step

Each row is one hand-off. "Rate" is how many made it from the previous step. "Cost" is ad spend divided by the count at that step.

The same steps, per flow

Bars are scaled to each flow's own link clicks. The rate on the right is against the step above. SodaTide spend is split evenly between VSL 1 and VSL 2 because the campaigns rotate the two pages 50/50.

Where we are lacking

Retention to the pitch: 11%

Everything before the video works (100% land, 86% play) and everything after the pitch works (48% click, 16% of checkouts buy). The drop is inside the first hour of the video. Each person who reaches the pitch costs $36 and returns $21. To break even at this CPC we would need about 19% of viewers at the pitch, or the same video with clicks under $2.

Each flow is weak in a different place

SodaTide VSL 1 and 2 have the best video and CTA numbers (11 to 13% at pitch, 51 to 58% click) and lose on cost alone. SodaSlim VSL 1 keeps viewers to the pitch (11%) but only 39% click the CTA. SodaSlim VSL 2 loses viewers inside the video: 7% reach the pitch. Both SodaSlim pages are ours to fix; we are already working on them.

SodaSlim did not convert on Sunday

$1,742 spend, 587 visits, 50 people at the pitch, 15 CTA clicks, no orders. Saturday the same pages turned 119 pitch viewers into 12 orders. The video behaved the same both days; the buyers were not there on Sunday.

What is working

Click-through, page load, play rate, CTA click rate and checkout conversion are all healthy. The best SodaTide campaigns ran above 2x on Sunday. With better pitch retention or cheaper clicks the rest of the funnel already converts.

Questions for you

The pages and videos are ours, so the video-side fixes are on us. Where your view would help:

  1. What are the best numbers you are seeing internally on weight-loss traffic from Facebook: CPC, pitch retention, and the targeting or audience behind them? Our weekend ran at $3.33 CPC and 11 to 13% at the pitch, and we need to know how far off that is.
  2. What visitor-to-order rate do your top affiliates see on SodaTide and SodaSlim? Ours was 0.82%.
  3. Cost per order was $409 against a $240 commission. What CPA and EPC do your best affiliates run on cold Facebook traffic, and what payout structure are they on?
  4. Your checkout converted 15.6% of the people we sent, with 87% choosing 6 bottles. Is that in line with other traffic, and is anything changing on the checkout, price points or upsell path?
  5. Sunday's SodaSlim traffic reached the pitch and clicked at Saturday's rates but produced no orders. Anything on the checkout or processing side on 6 September?
How these numbers were made
Meta Ads: impressions, link clicks, spend per campaign per day. Tracker: page visits per campaign. vturb: views, plays, viewers at the pitch second and CTA clicks per player, matched to the same click ids. BuyGoods: checkout visitors and orders from the affiliate API for accounts 12726 and 12899.
Order counts use BuyGoods order time (Eastern). Per-day order counts use the day of the click that produced the order, so Saturday's clicks get Saturday's orders even when the order came in after midnight.
